    Position Overview

    In this role, you will be part of an agile team to (re)imagine what is possible. We are building cloud-based Enterprise Data Management (EDM) services using modern architecture, best practices, and automation. EDM services includes new master data management infrastructure, data enrichment, relationship management, and product access restriction management.

    This role will collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, Cloud Operations, and our Engineering Team to ensure that EDM projects and applications are delivering the right information to our stakeholders, with great quality.

    Ideally, you are a broadly experienced, polyglot SDET who loves working with data and is able design and implement testing automation across all application layers. We are excited to work in cloud environments and microservices, and hope you are too. Our team is comfortable with several languages and paradigms and always tries to choose the technology which is most appropriate for the task. We endeavor to automate all tests and deployments.     Responsibilities

    • Works directly with engineering team members to improve the quality of software

    • Provides metrics and reporting on software quality across testing domains

    • Participating as a proactive team member in an agile environment

    • Consulting and interviewing stakeholders to understand software architecture and implementation for appropriate automated test design and implementation

    • Testing all implementations to guarantee they perform to specifications and requirements

    Minimum Qualifications

    • You have 2 years experience in all facets of software engineering with testing background.

    • Experience building testing pipelines for cloud-based environments (AWS, Azure, etc)

    • Experience implementing and working with off the shelf test automation tools

    • Understanding of automated testing for web-based APIsand Swagger style platforms

    • Familiarity with at least one type safe language. Familiarity with multiple languages of any type, preferred. (Python is our primary language)

    • Experience with performance, stress, and load testing

    • Experiencewith orchestration tools (e.g. Jenkins, Docker, Electric Flow)

    • Experience with monitoring tools (e.g. New Relic, Graphana, etc)

    • Experience with IaaS tools (Terraform, Cloudformation)

    • Not dogmatic about a particular language, platform, framework. Language agnostic programmers welcome

    • Experience with CI/CD and familiarity TDD/BDD

    • Strong cross functional communication and collaboration skills

    • Not afraid to try new technologies, languages, or engineering challenges

    • Desire to investigate and follow best practices

    • Experience and familiarity with the roles/responsibilities of Scrum and Kanban

    • Strong sense of ownership with a bias for action with the ability to work independently and collaboratively across an organization

    • Ready to try and take-on new technologies, ideas, and/or engineering challenges

    • Eagerness to learn and share knowledge with a good attitude

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience with SQL and/or relational or non-relational database querying

    • Experience with Master Data Management (MDM) capabilities and platforms

    • Familiar with different programming paradigms (e.g. OOP vs Functional) and have worked through a cross section of the software engineering spectrum (APIs, Front-end, Backend, Data layers, Service layers, etc.)

    • Experience with JVM

    • Experience testing ETLs, data integrity

    • Experience with probabilistic testing and chaos testing

    • Informatica

    • Hadoop ecosystem

    • Python
